The Raketech charity committee has united with Nature Trust Malta (NTM) to adopt two turtles rescued off the coast of Malta.
A group of volunteers from the Raketech Charity Committee got to meet the charming turtles, learn more about NTM and the work they’re doing for Maltese nature.
The NTM does a lot of work rescuing sea mammals injured from the man-made waste in the Mediterranean Sea and prepares them for release back into the wild. Charles, the Prince of Wales, who was raising awareness at the Our Ocean Summit in October released three rehabilitated turtles at Malta’s Golden Bay.
Spreading the Awareness
Marine wildlife rescue is just a small part of what NTM do to help the Maltese environment. They also help to manage natural habitats across the islands, promote eco-tourism and educate locals and visitors alike on how to best care for the precious environment around them.
Raketech has also sponsored a series of information panels to be placed along the nature walk in Wied Ghollieqa Nature Reserve. We are proud to be working with such an important organization, and can’t wait to take part in future initiatives.
Helping preserve the local environment by working local charities is very important to us and we are looking forward to doing more to support local charities over the coming year.
